Teaching & Mentorship

Teaching has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career. Whether it’s helping beginners write their first line of Python, guiding future engineers through security and systems fundamentals, or speaking to parents and teens about online safety, I approach education the same way I approach engineering — with clarity, practicality, and community impact.

University of California, Riverside

I taught computer science, cybersecurity, and fundamental software concepts to university-level learners, focusing on real-world, hands-on applications rather than theory alone. My courses emphasized problem-solving, system design, and building practical skills that students could take directly into their careers.

National Communications Training Center – San Marcos

At NCTC, I taught technical training programs for Marines transitioning into the civilian IT workforce. These programs covered networking, system administration, and core software concepts — with a strong focus on operational readiness and employability.

Online Courses & Udemy

I’ve led online programming and technology courses reaching students across the world. My approach is direct and hands-on: clear explanations, real projects, and immediately useful skills. I'm in the process of expanding my online course catalog to cover Flask development, practical security, and AI-assisted workflows.

Youth Cyber Safety & Education

Through the MALHY program, I teach teens, parents, and educators about digital safety — including online predators, sextortion risks, phishing, AI misuse, and healthy digital habits. This has become one of my most important initiatives, helping families stay informed and protected in a rapidly changing technical world.

Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy is simple: make learning accessible, relevant, and empowering. Technology shouldn’t feel intimidating — it should feel like a tool anyone can learn and use to build a better future. Whether in a classroom, online, or on stage, my goal is always to leave students more confident than when they arrived.
